Guidelines for Abstract Submission
The IFFAS 2024 Local Organizing Committee cordially invites you to submit papers for Oral, Poster and Case Report Presentations.
Participants interested in presenting their abstract at the congress are invited to submit an abstract via the Call for Abstract page on our website.
Abstracts received by August 31, 2023 with On-line Abstract Submission at the official website will be considered under the standard review process.
(The deadline for the on-line abstract submission has been extended to September 24, 2023)
Abstract submission does not constitute registration in the conference and presenters are required to register for the conference individually.
Please read the guidelines below carefully before submitting an abstract. If all sections are not completed, your abstract submission will NOT be accepted.

Abstracts must be submitted via the online submission system. Faxed or emailed abstracts will not be accepted.
Abstract submission does not mean you are registered for the conference, so please make sure that you register through the website during the registration period.

Presenting & Corresponding Authors Contact Responsibilities
A person submitting an abstract must sign up first. The presenting and corresponding authors who serve as the primary contact for the abstract has to be clearly identified.

Abstract Preparation
The Presenting author is required to ensure that all co-authors are aware of the content of the abstract before submission.
A confirmation letter of the receipt of abstract will be automatically sent to the submitter and the corresponding author by e-mail upon the completion of the on-line submission. (Please also check your spam or junk folder.)
If immediate confirmation and an Abstract Number is not received by return to the email address provided then the abstract has not been successfully submitted.
Please refer to the Abstract Number only in correspondence regarding the abstract.
Correspondence without an abstract number will not be entered into by the Organizers.
In the preparation of the abstract please adopt the following structured format:

Options for Submitting Paper(s) Choose one of the options below to submit your paper(s);
1) IFFAS 2024 Only
2) IFFAS & AFFAS 2024 in duplicate

Basically, all abstracts will be reviewed by the scientific committee of IFFAS first.
Depending on your submission choice, either ‘IFFAS 2024 only’ or ‘IFFAS & AFFAS 2024 in duplicate', the process will be different after reviewing of IFFAS as below;
If you choose ‘IFFAS 2024 only’, the paper will be designated either podium or e-poster for IFFAS 2024 after reviewing.
In case of ‘IFFAS and AFFAS in duplicate’, if it has not been selected for podium session, the LOC would review it again for the podium of AFFAS 2024.

Abstract Titles
The title should contain not more than 100 characters.
Only the first letter of the title starts with a capital letter, except the proper nouns.
Author Information
Names and affiliations of authors are to be listed.
Please be sure to list the names of all co-authors, including the presenter, to prevent any omissions in the abstract file.
The maximum number of authors is 10 per abstract.
If an author is affiliated with hospital as well as university, please enter the name of the hospital for which he/she works.
Please make sure to fill in the correct contact phone number, mobile phone number and e-mail address of the presenter.
Abstract Body
Oral and E-Poster: Background-Aims-Methods-Results-Summary/Conclusions
Case Report (E-Poster Only): Case Description-Conclusion
Abstract should be no longer than 1,800 characters (approximately 250 words).
Figure & Table
Only one Table or image is allowed.
No more than 1 picture, table, graph, or figure should be included in a file.
Image: The maximum file size of each image is 500 KB. The maximum pixel size of the image is 600 (w) x 800 (h).
You may upload images in JPG, GIF, or PNG format. Please note that images may be resized to fit in the final material.
Keywords & References
Up to five keywords
References must not be included.
Modification Available until the deadline of the abstract submission at My Page
Abstract Instructions
All abstracts must be submitted via the Online Submission System ONLY. And abstract should be submitted in English.
Abstract must contain a brief, clear statement of conclusion. Avoid statements such as “the findings will be discussed”. All abbreviations must be defined before being used and an abbreviation in the text.
Authors may edit and modify submitted abstracts until the submission deadline. It is the responsibility of the authors to ensure the accuracy of the abstract. There will be no additional editing after the deadline.
Do not submit abstracts if previously presented at an international meeting or if previously published.
Previously presented abstracts that are updated with significant new findings may be submitted.
Abstracts accepted for oral presentation or poster presentation are embargoed from the time of submission until conclusion of the presentation at the IFFAS 2024. IFFAS 2024 Organizing committee reserves the right to adjust the embargo as needed.
If there is the relevant financial activities outside the submitted work, the corresponding author must complete a disclosure form for potential conflict of interest. A conflict of interest may exist when an author (or author's institution or employer) has financial or personal relationships or affiliations that could influence (or bias) the author's decisions, work, or abstract.
Upon acceptance of the abstracts, presenting authors will be expected to register and present their abstracts and he/she should come to the venue
Abstracts will be reproduced exactly as submitted and will not be edited in any way.
Linguistic accuracy is the responsibility of the authors.
Conflicts of Interest
The conflict of interest policy requirements applies to all abstract authors. Any potential conflict of interest must be indicated upon abstract submission. It is the responsibility of the Presenting Author to obtain disclosure information from all co-authors and to provide disclosure of all interests and relationships. This includes any financial or other relationships with commercial entities whose products or services are related to the subject matter in the manuscript, or sociopolitical issues that can cause conflict.
Acceptance Notification
Acceptance notifications will be sent to authors on November 7, 2023 by e-mail and via the website.
The presenting author or corresponding author must reply to the acceptance notification in order to acknowledge receipt and confirm attendance.
Case reports will be presented by poster only.
Abstract Modification or Withdrawal
The presenting author or corresponding author may request a correction of error (e.g., typos, misspellings, grammatical errors) within deadline.
If you would like to withdraw an abstract, please fill out the “Withdrawal Request Form” and send it by e-mail to the IFFAS 2024 Secretariat.
If the presenter of the accepted abstract does not register by the deadline for Early-Bird Registration, the abstract will be automatically withdrawn from the final program.
